LayerUnfold

NON-GENERATIVE, PIXEL-EXACT LAYER DECOMPOSITION FOR PHOTOSHOP

Split the layers. Preserve the artwork pixels.

LayerUnfold is a Photoshop plugin that decomposes a flat raster image into editable layers such as Base Color, Shadow and Highlight. It separates the existing pixels mathematically instead of regenerating them, so the result is immediately editable in Photoshop.

For supported formats, LayerUnfold verifies that the finished appearance is preserved. It does not recover the source file’s original PSD structure. The public product benchmark is in preparation.

Current processing and ticket use

Mask generation uses OpenAI and costs 5 tickets. LayerUnfold CPU-based Color Split costs 5 tickets, Normal-layer Shading costs 10 tickets, and Source-Aligned Line Art + Shading costs 15 tickets. Line Art & Base, which used Google Gemini API, is retired from the current plugin.

Tickets support the managed service as a whole, including VPS CPU processing, storage, queues, delivery, maintenance, and continued development—not only third-party API usage.
